Dunedin Youth Sailing Association came into being in the spring of 2009 after many years of dreams and plans by dedicated community members.

The program provides sail training and race experience for children from 8 to 16 years of age. Led by US Sailing certified instructors, the program is designed to have young sailors out around the bouys on a weekly basis, building a strong base of knowledge and experience.

From its inception, the program has been met with wide community support and ongoing demand for places in the program for young sailors. The Fall 2009 program was full and there is a waiting list for the Spring 2010 session.

The Dunedin Youth Sailing Association is a registered public charity under Section 501c(3) of the IRS code. Contributions to the Dunedin Youth Sailing Association are tax deductible under section 170.
